When thinking about my undergraduate career, I think of two words: growth and discovery. Because of this scholarship, I was able to study abroad in Canterbury, England. It was there that I gained a stronger sense of independence and discovered my love of philosophy. The honors class, Southern Writers and the West, with Dr. Brinkmeyer was most influential, as it gave me a stronger understanding of myself and my Southern upbringing. Mu Sigma Phi developed my confidence in public speaking and challenged me to refine my own beliefs by grappling with new ideas. I will forever carry with me all that I’ve learned about myself and the world around me (and of course, the amazing friends I’ve made during my time at Carolina!)
Future plans: Kylie will attend medical school at Vanderbilt University next year.
