Emily Zeidman

Red Lion Area Senior High School
Windsor, Pennsylvania
Political Science

Participating in the South Carolina Washington Semester Program was the highlight of my time at UofSC and showed me how to use my voice to fight for the issues about which I am passionate, all while studying and working in our nation’s capital.

Enjoy most as a TS:
To me, the best part of being a Top Scholar at UofSC is the scholar community and the long-lasting friendships I have formed because of the program.

Story:
Being a student leader at UofSC has allowed me to crystallize my personal beliefs and to learn how to incorporate them into my intended career. Before attending courses here and becoming a member of some of the school's incredible student organizations, I had never really challenged my own perspective and what I had always been taught. Throughout my time here at UofSC, I have not only learned how to better understand the perspective of others, but I have also learned how to empower others to do the same, for which I will forever be grateful.

Post-graduate plans:
After graduating, Emily will attend law school beginning in the fall of 2021.

Career goals/professional aspirations:
After graduating, I plan to attend law school to study the intersection between law and policy.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
