The opportunities I've had during my time at UofSC have broadened my worldview and prepared me to be a confident leader in the business world after graduation.

Impactful experience:
One of my most impactful experiences in the classroom at UofSC was taking part in the Carolina Finance Scholars Program. My participation in the program, along with on campus involvement and other commitments required me to learn how to create a viable balance between educational, professional, and social obligations. I think the ability to create balance will be very beneficial in my career and personal life going forward.

Enjoy most as a TS:
I enjoy being part of a relatively small community of focused, high achieving individuals who come from diverse backgrounds and have a wide variety of interests and career goals.

Story:
One of the most impactful experiences I had during my time at UofSC was a Maymester trip to Asia following my freshman year. It was the first time I'd traveled overseas and I decided to spend a week on my own in Hong Kong before meeting the rest of the group in Japan. The week I traveled to Hong Kong I encountered many uncomfortable or unfamiliar situations. I realized on the trip that out of those unfamiliar experiences I learned how to be more confident in my decisions and rely on my own intuition solve problems.

Post-graduate plans:
Steven will be moving to Atlanta, Georgia to work as an Audit Associate with Deloitte.

Career goals/professional aspirations:
My ultimate career goal is to lead a large transportation, manufacturing, or financial services organization. Along the way, I plan to work in various cities around the United States and hopefully across the world, go back to school for an MBA, and earn my CPA license.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
