Sport and Entertainment Management

I am so grateful for all of the professors in the Sport and Entertainment Management program at South Carolina, but one that transformed my college experience, and my life, was Steve Taylor. As the internship advisor for the program, he encouraged me to attain my true potential and believe in myself. During my sophomore year, I was contemplating changing my major, as I did not believe that I was tough enough to make it in the sporting industry. Steve set up the internship program in Australia that changed my perspective on my abilities, and he guided me through the struggles of being abroad. He continues to be a defining presence in my life, and I am so grateful for his impact at UofSC. 

Future plans: Shelby will attend Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management to obtain a master’s degree in marketing.
