BARSC-MD: Baccalaureus Artium et Scientiae with Pre-Med Studies

The spring of my sophomore year I was studying abroad in Valencia, Spain. It was an amazing experience, but by the end of the trip I was starting to get a little homesick. I missed my family, my friends, and being at UofSC. Luckily, I was not the only one feeling that way and we planned a girls weekend in Portugal with a few other Top Scholar girls in Europe. Amy, Alexandra, Celine, Lyndsey and I found a beach our first night in the city and watched the sunset while catching up after months scattered in different countries. It was an incredible experience, finding a little piece of home all the way across the world.

Future plans: Ashley will attend the School of Medicine Columbia as a second year medical student, having completed her first year in the BARSC-MD program.
