Russian & French
One of the best parts of graduating from USC is that I can't find a photo of just me at USC, because I was never alone; USC is where I found my second family.
Enjoy most as a TS:
My favorite part about being a UofSC Top Scholar is the incredible advice and support
that I have received from through the Scholars program.
Story:
I entered UofSC as a member of the CIFA international business cohort for the practicality
and reliability of the field. By sophomore year, I knew it was not for me. I wanted
to focus on my Russian and French studies. I researched career opportunities and sought
out much-needed advice from Jan Smoak, Dr. Judith Kalb, and Ali Mathwig. I developed
the plan to earn my BA in Russian and French and pursue an accelerated MLIS.
I have since participated in an NSA-funded STARTALK program and the State Department's
CLS program for Russian, and my language proficiencies are near my lifetime goal.
The support I received at UofSC helped me gain the confidence to pursue my passions
confidently and led me to where I am today.
Post-graduate plans:
My exact plans are still unknown as I am waiting to hear back from several opportunities.
I will let you know as soon as possible!
