Education is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world.

Impactful experience:
I think the most impactful experience that I have been a part of is the volunteer medical mission trip I was a part of to Costa Rica. Seeing the amount of help that I can provide with even a minor knowledge of medicine still inspires me to work today.

Story:
One professor who really influenced my decision to look into psychiatry as a profession is Dr. Rhea Merck. Whenever she would talk to us about her experiences as a therapist, those stories really stayed with me. To be able to be a part of someone's mental growth and healing is a privilege. Her passion when teaching that class inspired me to start researching more into different modes of therapy, and is something I hope to be able to incorporate in my future career.

Post-graduate plans:
I am currently in the UofSC School of Medicine Class of 2024.

Career goals/professional aspirations
I hope to become a psychiatrist or internist, and work in a private clinic, as well as be involved with an ACT program that will be able to help urban patients who are not able to get care normally.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
