Liz White is a South Carolina native and a 2008 graduate of the University of South Carolina. She graduated from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications and was editor-in-chief of the Daily Gamecock. She also worked at the Garnet & Black and the Carolina Reporter while at USC.
After graduating, Liz moved to Washington, D.C., for a fellowship at the Student Press Law Center, which provides free legal services to student journalists nationwide. She also worked at the National Association of Realtors and for Newsweek magazine’s Washington bureau.
Liz earned a master’s degree from American University’s School of Communication and was awarded the school’s fellowship with the Bureau of National Affairs, a group of publications covering the government and policy. She was hired by the company as it was bought by Bloomberg. While at Bloomberg BNA, Liz covered the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Agriculture and tax legislation on Capitol Hill.
She is the managing editor of USC Times and the Day Times.
