About this Fellowship

Funds a year of graduate study in Ireland, and is designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to community and public service.

*The Mitchell Scholarship has been suspended for the 2024-2025 application cycle. NO applications will be accepted in fall 2024. Please stay tuned for future updates.*

Mitchell Scholars are judged on scholarship, leadership, and a sustained commitment to community and public service. They are expected to have a record of academic excellence, leadership, and extracurricular interests as well as exhibit personal characteristics of honesty, integrity, and personal service to others. Nomination by USC is required.


Award Value

Provides tuition, accommodations, living expenses and international travel to pursue a one-year graduate degree in Ireland.
