About this Fellowship
The Udall NAGF awards two $25,000 scholarships to Native American or Alaska Native graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in health care fields and have demonstrated a commitment to Native healthcare.
The NAGF recognizes outstanding Native American and Alaska Native graduate students who are currently pursuing advanced degrees in health care fields (e.g. M.S., Ph.D., M.D.)—including, but not limited to, health administration, health education, public health, medical practice, policy, research, or related-degrees—and who have demonstrated a commitment to Native health care. You can apply for the NAGF if:
• You have completed at least one semester of graduate-level coursework in a health care field and will be enrolled at least half-time in a graduate program during the current academic year.
• You are enrolled in a state or Federally Recognized Tribe or Band; or a descendant of an enrolled member of a state or Federally Recognized Tribe or Band.
• You are a permanent U.S. resident or U.S. citizen who is a member of the First Nations of Canada.
Award Value
Two fellowships awarded, each worth $25,000.
