About this Fellowship

The Churchill Scholarship provides funding to American students for a year of master’s study at the University of Cambridge, based at Churchill College, for the pursuit of research and study in the physical and natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering.

The program was set up at the request of Sir Winston Churchill in order to fulfil his vision of US–UK scientific exchange with the goal of advancing science and technology on both sides of the Atlantic, helping to ensure our future prosperity and security.

Applicants must apply for university nomination. USC can nominate two students per cycle. Contact our office no later than July 1 of your application year if you are interested in applying for nomination.
