About this Fellowship
The master’s MFP is a program designed to enhance the training of full-time, master’s-level social work students in their final year of study at a CSWE-accredited institution who are passionate about meeting the mental health and/or substance use disorder needs of racial/ethnic minority communities.
Applicants must identify mental health and/or substance use disorder service delivery to racial/ethnic minority populations as their focus and be committed to seeking employment in mental health and/or substance use disorder services or prevention with the target population immediately after graduation, for at least 2 years.
The purpose of this program is to reduce health disparities and improve mental health-care outcomes for racially and ethnically diverse populations by increasing the number of culturally competent master’s-level behavioral health professionals available to serve racial/ethnic minority populations.
Deadlines are typically in early June, but be sure to check the competition website for the current cycle’s deadline.
