About this Fellowship
STEM research internship with doctoral students at top German universities or companies; for graduate students or those who have already completed a DAAD RISE internship.
Typically a summer research internship, the award can last between 3 and 6 months. Recent graduates (<7 months at time of application) are also eligible to apply, but only for internships that offer minimum wage.
The application database opens annually in mid-October and the deadline is at the end of November. Refer to the program webpage for details.
Please note: Current students applying for the DAAD must also submit information to the Education Abroad Office at least 30 days prior to departure. See their website for more information.

Award Value
Approx. €1000-1300 monthly stipend (depending on degree-level of applicant) OR minimum wage (€13,90/hour) for recent graduates and internships longer than 3 months. The award covers travel expenses, €160 travel for scholarship meeting, insurance and 70% of course fees to attend a language course in Germany (up to €250).
