About this Fellowship
Essay contest focusing on Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand.
Essays are judged on whether the student is able to justify and argue for his or her view, not on whether the Institute agrees with the view the student expresses. Winning essays must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of Atlas Shrugged.
There are four deadlines per year, but be sure to check the competition website for the current cycle’s deadline.
Award Value
There is one annual grand prize of $25,000, and the top three essays for each quarterly application cycle receive between $1,000 and $3,000.
