Darla Moore School of Business

Student Council for Diversity and Inclusion

The Student Council for Diversity and Inclusion of the Darla Moore School of Business is a diverse, representative and knowledgeable group of self-selected students. It ensures that goals for diversity and inclusion are fully achieved and valued at the Moore School.

Our Purpose

The Student Council for Diversity and Inclusion of the Darla Moore School of Business is a heterogeneous group of students, faculty, staff and alumni who are committed to building a climate of inclusion and mutual support in the campus community. The council’s main goals are to represent students’ voices in matters concerning diversity and inclusion at the Moore School, engage the school in constructive discussions about diversity and inclusion and create a support network for likeminded individuals.

Campus Affiliation

This organization is a recognized student organization at the University of South Carolina but is not part of the university itself. In all correspondence and business transactions, the council may refer to itself as an organization at USC but not as part of USC itself.

This organization recognizes and understands that the university assumes no legal liability for the actions of the organization and that the university is not providing blanket indemnification insurance coverage for any activities of the organization.

I will discourage bigotry, while striving to learn from differences in people, ideas and opinions; I will demonstrate concern for others, their feelings, and their need for the conditions which support their work and development.
