Art Education Graduate Student Wins Teacher of the Year

UofSC School of Visual Art and Design | February 7, 2020

Congratulations to Kristen Layton, a graduate student in the Art Education I.M.A. program, for being selected as the 2019 Teacher of the Year at her work!

Kristen teaches art full-time in an elementary school in North Carolina, and commutes to Columbia to take graduate classes every week. It's not an easy feat, and we're so proud of your accomplishments as both an artist, student, and educator.
