The University of South Carolina Graduate School welcomes and supports all students, regardless of disability.

Application Timeline

The Office of Disability Services makes decisions on a case-by-case basis. Generally, decisions take 24 weeks.



About the Student Disability Resource Center 

The Student Disability Resource Center works with more than 700 students and aids in their professional development by:

  • Facilitating the provision of reasonable accommodations
  • Serving as consultants to students, faculty and staff
  • Educating the greater Carolina Community


Recognizing Disabled Students 

The Graduate School complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, through all policies and practices.

A student can only be recognized as having a disability and receive accommodations after registering with the Student Disabilities Resource Center and receiving approval for reasonable accommodations
