The University of South Carolina Board of Trustees recently approved waiving the base $50 graduate application fee for the upcoming admission cycle. Effective July 15, applications for entry in Summer 2024, Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 will not collect the $50 fee.
“This decision will ensure the University of South Carolina’s continued competitiveness in the graduate school market," said Provost Donna Arnett in a message to stakeholders. "With this change, I believe that our institution will continue to draw the best and brightest graduate students the country – and the world – has to offer.”
While the $50 general application fee will be removed, some additional fees may remain on discipline-specific applications or for cohorts that opened prior to July 15. No refunds will be processed for applications that have already been submitted.
