Background

Prateek Sharma holds a Ph.D. in finance from Louisiana State University. He also holds an MS in finance and an MS in statistics from the University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign. Prior to joining academia he has worked in investment banking, private equity research, equity analysis and business advisory roles. His research interests include banking and regulation, financial institutions, and financial accounting and reporting. 

He was most recently an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. He has taught corporate finance, international finance, financial markets and financial intermediaries at the undergraduate level, and business valuation and financial management at the MBA level.
