Professional MBA alumna finds convenience, personal resilience through program

When Jessica Chiu decided to take the next step in her education, she knew just where to go.

“A number of my coworkers had completed the Professional MBA program and recommended it to me,” she said. “I knew that a business degree would complement my new job very well and open up opportunities for additional growth.”

As a fuel contract manager for Westinghouse Electric Company, Jessica needed a flexible program that she could complete while working. With the Moore School being just down the road from her job, earning her MBA degree was convenient, and she was able to complete the 28-month program in just two years.

“By going through this experience, I learned that we’re incredibly resilient and capable of accomplishing so much more than we ever thought possible,” she said. “Through the Professional MBA program, I was able to develop and strengthen a number of skills that I am now actively applying to my job and personal life.”

Since graduation, Jessica has continued working at Westinghouse Electric Company and hopes to use her Professional MBA skills to one day start her own nonprofit to help underprivileged children in China get their education.
