Background

Jack Ellenberg advises CEOs, CFOs, and executive leadership teams on North American market entry, capital deployment, and policy-sensitive growth decisions. His work focuses on helping leaders make confident decisions early, before investment, operating model, and location choices become costly to unwind. He brings a perspective that sits at the intersection of strategy, government affairs, and capital planning, helping leadership teams navigate complexity with a clearer view of regulatory, policy, and long-term operating realities.

Jack joined Maxis Advisors after more than 30 years in senior leadership roles across economic development, infrastructure, corporate partnerships, and strategic growth. His background includes cabinet-level roles supporting multiple U.S. governors, executive leadership at a major North American port, and senior responsibility within a leading R1 research institution focused on advanced industry and innovation. Over the course of his career, he has supported more than $35 billion in new investment and over 100,000 jobs, working with globally recognized organizations including BMW, Boeing, Bosch, ZF, Mercedes-Benz, and others where credibility, discretion, and sound executive judgment are essential.

Jack was named Southern Business & Developments “Person of the Year” for his work as lead recruiter of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner assembly operation in North Charleston, South Carolina. In 2011, he was awarded the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest civilian honor, for his service to the citizens of the state.
