Background
Luis Felipe Sáenz is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in May of 2018, and a M.A and B.S. in economics from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá (Colombia).
His research interests are related to macroeconomics, growth and development, and economic history. From 2010 to 2012, he was a research fellow at the research department of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC.
