The hospitality and leisure industry is one of the fastest growing employment sectors in the nation and the fourth largest job market in the U.S. There are endless career opportunities for students who are passionate about creating memories and experiences for people to enjoy.
Four HRTM degrees are available, including two undergraduate degrees and two graduate degrees:
- B.S. in Hospitality Management
- B.S. in Tourism Management
- Master of International Hospitality and Tourism Management
- Ph.D. in Hospitality Management
A focus in meeting and event management is available to those students who would like to further specialize. Hospitality management majors may also choose a club management concentration.
Our industries have the power to connect cultures, inspire adventures and strengthen global economies. Student immersion in international experiences broadens horizons and prepares them for exciting work opportunities around the world. Our faculty lead custom study abroad courses in China, South America and Europe. The School offers two semester-long exchange programs with partner hospitality universities in Aruba and the Galapagos Islands.
What we manufacture is happiness and quality family time. How wonderful is it that we can be part of an industry that creates such wonderful memories and helps people lead fuller lives?

Undergraduate Internship Requirement
The HRTM program requires two internship experiences prior to graduation. The first experience can be any job in the industry of your major, and is typically taken during your sophomore year. Your second experience — generally completed during your junior or senior year — is your opportunity to take on more responsibility in a managerial or supervisory position, so you will graduate with leadership experience already under your belt.
