- Sport and Entertainment Management Ph.D. student Saad Alshamari presented research he co-authored with Professor Stephen Shapiro at the European Association of Sport Management Conference in Belfast.
- Sport and Entertainment Management Ph.D. student Chan Hyeon Hur was a finalist for the European Sport Management Quarterly New Researcher award. He presented his research at the European Association of Sport Management Conference in Belfast.
- Erin Lewantowicz earned a $10,000 Semester at Sea scholarship from the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Applying Game Theory to Restaurant Tipping Behavior," published in the International Journal of Hospitality Management and "Restaurant Worker Food Safety, and Sanitation Compliance Behavior in Times of Crisis: An Investigation of Transactional Leadership Behavior Effectiveness" in the Journal of Foodservice Business Research.
