Student Notes

  • Retailing students Elizabeth Amatangelo, Olivia Andrew and Dru Drake represented HRSM and all of the University of South Carolina at New York Fashion Week.
  • Retailing students Timothy Brosnan, James Cancello, Brett Eppinger and Benjamin McIntosh won the Department of Retailing Capstone Global Business Strategies Simulation for Industry 38.
  • More than 30 Sport and Entertainment Management students worked The National Wild Turkey Federation's 48th Annual Convention and Sport Show in Nashville. The event drew a record crowd of more than 72,000 people.
  • Mary Caines (Hospitality Management) accepted a traveling operations internship with the American Junior Golf Association after attending the AJGA’s intern recruiting weekend. She was one of 100 attendees selected out of more than 1,400 applicants.
  • Katherine Cazayoux, Xavier Peguese and Brandon Vereen (Sport and Entertainment Management) were named to the USC Greek Hall of Fame.
  • Gavin Craig (Sport and Entertainment Management) accepted a summer internship with the Bowie Baysox.
  • Ray Ellingwood (Sport and Entertainment Management ) accepted a position as a P.J. Boatwright Intern with the New Hampshire Golf Association to begin following graduation in May.
  • Madison Graham (Sport and Entertainment started a new position as talent team intern with Live Nation.
  • Molly Heidt (Sport and Entertainment Management) accepted a position as an operations assistant for the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
  • Rudy Kaufman (Sport and Entertainment Management) accepted a public safety and security internship with the Washington Nationals for summer 2024.
  • Jordan Knight (Retailing) accepted an operations internship with Kiawah Island Club for summer 2024.
  • Aidan Lansburgh, Jacob Reinhardt and Cory Shanks (Sport and Entertainment Management) worked the NBA All-Star Game as part of CSC - Contemporary Services Corporation’s Leadership Academy.
  • Max Levine (Sport and Entertainment Management) completed the Detroit Lions Sales Development Program.
  • Tanner Lewis (Sport and Entertainment Management) will be a USGA P.J. Boatwright Championships intern with the Golf Association of Philadelphia this summer.
  • Madeline Piron (Sport and Entertainment Management) accepted an externship at The Alotian Club in Little Rock, Arkansas to begin after graduation in May.
  • Madi Schnepfe (Tourism Management) accepted a new role with Youth Marketing Connection and Glow Recipe as part of their college ambassador program.
  • Liam Sullivan (Hospitality Management) accepted a summer internship as activities coordinator with Wild Dunes Resort.
  • Caroline Sunderlage (Hospitality Management) accepted a position with Marriott International as a banquet voyager at the JW Marriott on Marco Island, to begin after graduation in May.
  • Paige Tucci (Sport and Entertainment Management) accepted a summer internship with the Coastal Carolina University Athletics Department.
  • Ryan Wallace (Sport and Entertainment Management) began a public relations internship with the Baltimore Orioles.
  • Carlo White (Hospitality Management) won first place in the Nucor Sales Competition, presented by the Carolina Sales Institute.
  • Cody Wohlrab (Sport and Entertainment Management) accepted a field manager internship with Perfect Game for summer 2024.
  • Logan Zeller (Sport and Entertainment Management) accepted an operations/gameday internship with the Columbia Fireflies for summer 2024.
