McCutchen House Dining

The Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management program is proud to host a variety of dining options, as well as wine and culinary classes that are available to the community, at the unique and historic McCutchen House.

Please join the students of the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management as we prepare for another exciting and rewarding spring at the McCutchen House.

Garden Grill

Due to construction at the McCutchen House, the garden grill will not be open this summer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please come again for the summer 2020 season!

Bistro Lunch Dining

With the exception of university holidays, the McCutchen House hours of lunch service are Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Featuring a rotating menu and with private dining available, you will be hard-pressed to beat the professionally prepared cuisine and exceptional service anywhere in town! Explore our menus and make your reservation today!

Thursday Dinners

Allow us to pamper you with a four-course dinner. These gourmet meals are served most Thursday nights during the Fall and Spring semesters. Bring your own beer or wine and we'll serve it for you; there is no corkage fee.

Large Party Luncheons

McCutchen House is happy to accommodate your party of 12 or more with a menu designed to suit each of your guests. Lunches include tomato pie, flatbread and herbed butter, salad, choice of entrée and chocolate walnut pie. Beverages include sweetened and unsweetened tea, water and coffee.

Grab and Go Lunches

There are days you just don't have time to sit down for a meal. Or maybe you want to take your lunch outside on a beautiful day. Those days are perfect for McCutchen House Grab and Go Lunches. Just place your order by phone or come in and we'll have it ready for you to take with you.

Private Lunch Dining

Private dining on the 3rd floor of the McCutchen House in the Patterson Room is offered to any group of eight to 12 guests. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion with friends, arranging a unique business meeting or creating a memorable meal with out-of-town guests, this private board room style setting will be sure to please. McCutchen House History

This beautiful home was originally built as a faculty house in 1813. Having survived the Civil War, and the ever-changing landscape of the University of South Carolina, McCutchen House is now operated by the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management as a venue for dining, culinary and wine classes and special events.
