Why you chose to pursue your degree within the ASPH: I chose to pursue my degree within the Arnold School of Public Health because I value its small, tight-knit community and incredibly supportive environment. I enjoy exploring public health as it provides me with a broad perspective on health care and prepares me for my future career as a clinician. As a student on the pre-occupational therapy track with a psychology minor, the Arnold School has been an excellent fit for my academic and professional goals. I also love learning how to help people through the lens of public health and applying that knowledge to improve the well-being of others.
Advice for future students: My advice for future students is to be open to trying new things, even if they feel uncomfortable at first. College goes by quickly, so make the most of the time you have and don’t be afraid to make mistakes, change your mind, or adjust your plans along the way. Most importantly, remember to have fun and enjoy the experience! Go Gamecocks!
