New York Fashion Week was the coolest experience of my life, like a childhood dream come true. I saw Sherri Hill’s entire planning of the show. The fact that it applies to what I want to do long term made it even better, because I was allowed that access. I wasn’t just there to walk. In modeling, I've seen so much of the styling, the creative directing. So what I'm learning here is behind the scenes, the more business side. I’d love to be a combination of the two, a product developer and planner. Basically, the one who's taking the trends and forming the collection. I want to be on the creative side.
Fun Facts
- First modeling experience was Greenville Fashion Week, thanks to her mom. Augusta says: "I used to get anxious in front of an audience. My mom decided that the only way to fix that was to put me in front of more people. She submitted me, without my knowing, to Greenville Fashion Week."
- Has modeled clothes designed by USC Retailing alumna Alex Kunkle, now a designer for Mac Duggal.
Future Plans
- Hopes to become a fashion product developer and planner, combining modeling experience with lessons learned as a USC retailing student.
