Internships

HRSM students are no average interns. In addition to being in one of the top programs in the nation for their fields, each HRSM student receives specialized training through the Marnie Pearce Professional Development Seminar.

Internships are integrated into the College of HRSM's curriculum and dedicated internship directors help students get the most out of each experience.

Career Fairs and Networking Events

The College of HRSM offers industry-specific career fairs to match our students with the best employers from around the nation.

Each February and September, the college hosts a career, internship and study abroad fair for its majors, giving employers the opportunity to interact with nearly 1,000 students in one day. Visit our Experience Expo page to learn more.

HRSM’s Department of Sport and Entertainment Management hosts an annual industry conference, Sport Entertainment and Venues Tomorrow (SEVT), to bring thought leaders, professionals, researchers and students together to discuss the latest industry trends, issues and ideas. The conference includes a career and internship fair specifically for sport and entertainment management majors.

In addition to our college- and department-level career fairs, there are university-wide career fairs each semester, open to a wide variety of majors. Students are encouraged to attend USC internship and career fairs, which are typically held in September and January.

Each semester, the College of HRSM Alumni Society hosts a career night to give students the opportunity to practice their networking skills in a unique and safe learning environment. Alumni and industry professionals are invited to the networking event to evaluate students and interact with potential employees. Learn more about Alumni Society Virtual Career Night.

The college works with a variety of large employers to host customized recruiting and interview days on campus. Contact the Office of Corporate Engagement to determine if a recruiting day is best for your organization by completing the Hire an HRSM Student Form.
