Spark Summer Study Grants offer funding for participation in summer music festivals, young artist programs, training intensives, and similar educational opportunities that align with Spark’s mission to foster diverse and dynamic musical lives.
Application opens on January 15, 2027. The deadline to apply for Spring 2027 Spark Summer Study Grants is April 2, 2027 at 11:45 p.m.
How to Apply:
Students must complete the Summer Study Grant Application, which includes the following components:
- Program Information
- Name of the program
- Program dates
- Link to the program’s website
- Registration and tuition fees
- Supporting Materials

- Letter of Acceptance
- Cover Letter (1 page) addressing the following:
- Describe the scope and purpose of the program.
- Explain your role as a participant.
- Detail your financial need for the grant.
- Video Statement of Purpose (2–3 minutes) addressing the following:
- What are your goals, and what do you hope to accomplish by attending this summer program?
- How does your participation align with Spark’s mission to support diverse and dynamic musical lives?
