Cormac Cannon has been named director of bands. In his prior position as associate director of bands and director of athletic bands at UofSC, Cannon has guided all aspects of the athletic band program including directing the 350-member marching band, conducting Symphonic Winds, and teaching undergraduate conducting. Cannon joined the USC faculty following six years on the music faculty at Michigan State University.
