UPDATED: Events and performances cancelled

Due to health concerns raised by the spread of COVID-19, all face-to-face lessons, classes, rehearsals and events are cancelled.

 

The School of Music has cancelled, adapted to online, or rescheduled public events, performances, in-person classes, labs and camps through August 1. Check program pages for details.

 

Refunds will be issued for all those who have paid online.

Remote learning continues through Summer II semester. May commencement ceremonies have been tentatively rescheduled for August 7 and 8, 2020.

Due to health concerns raised by the spread of COVID-19, UofSC has cancelled, adapted to online, or rescheduled public events, performances, in-person classes, labs and camps through Summer II semester (August 1.) Check individual community / summer program pages for details as they develop.

Remote learning continues through Summer II semester. May commencement ceremonies have been tentatively rescheduled for August 7 and 8, 2020.

The university will hold two livestreamed town hall events with President Caslen and senior leadership next week: one at 6 p.m. EDT on Monday, March 30, for students and families, and another at 6 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 31, for faculty and staff.

May commencement ceremonies have been tentatively rescheduled for August 7 and 8, 2020.

Students with belongings in residence halls will have the opportunity to retrieve them at a later date when it is determined by state health officials that it is safe to do so. See University Housing for more details.

The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE) is developing a coordinated policy on refunds (parking, housing, meals) for all state colleges and universities. The University of South Carolina is committed to issuing refunds within the CHE’s structure. See the Refund Statement for more details.

The University of South Carolina campus is closed through the end of the spring semester.

Virtual instruction for will begin on March 23 and will last through the conclusion of final exams.
 Traditional May commencement ceremonies are postponed.

The state’s Commission on Higher Education is coordinating with colleges and universities in order to address housing and other service reimbursements to ensure student investments are protected.
