Mozart’s Gran Partita Serenade for winds paired with classic jazz love songs

Happy Valentine’s Day! The University of South Carolina School of Music and the Department of Theatre & Dance, along with more than 45 students present Love Letters Home.
This concert pairs Mozart’s Gran Partita Serenade for winds with classic jazz love songs. While the dialects of these music’s may differ, they are united in a language of love.
Mozart’s Gran Partita was composed at the time of his courtship with Constanze, and some even contend that it was performed at their wedding.
These different music’s are woven together by 10 letters, documenting the love story of Mozart and Constanze as well as musicians, artists, and writers of the 20th and 21st centuries. View program
