She earned her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the UofSC School of Music in 2001. She was a two-time district winner and regional finalist for the Metropolitan Opera Competition and was the recipient of several prestigious awards for excellence in opera and musical theater, including first runner-up in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Young Artist Competition. Kerri has had the privilege of performing locally, regionally, and internationally in every genre from opera and oratorio, to musical theater, big band, pop, and worship. Kerri is married to husband Brent and mom to 5 amazing kids. Her family was privileged to serve on the mission field in Zambia, Africa, for 7 life-changing years. Now settled back into life in the States, they run a global non-profit missions ministry, Africa Freedom Mission. Kerri is the assistant director of music at Northeast Presbyterian Church, is active on the teaching faculty at Town Theatre of SC, and enjoys performing as often as she can.
