Connor Burney is the Administrative Assistant to University Bands. Mr. Burney is a native of Columbia and a 2015 graduate of UofSC Aiken with a Bachelor of Arts Fine Arts-music degree.

At the School of Music, Connor serves as assistant to the band faculty, preparing materials, schedules, registration for special projects, UofSC Band clinic, summer clinics and the Carolina Band camp. He coordinates band recruitment efforts, maintains the band membership file, and tracks enrollment of all band courses. He also works at the Koger Center for the Arts in dual employment assisting the front of house operations

"The Carolina Band is an incredible program filled with rich history, impressive leaders and performers,” says Connor. “I'm looking forward to the shared creativity between students and educators."

Burney’s professional career has been in positions which require scheduling, organization, communications, and personnel management. 

Connor is a Palmetto Center for the Arts high school magnet graduate, performed in various ensembles at UofSC Aiken and spent three years as a member of the world-class Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Burney's professional affiliations include Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Rotary International, Columbia Opportunity Resource, and UofSC Aiken Alumni Board.
