Koger Center for the Arts
Karen Magradey is the Assistant Director for the Koger Center for the Arts. She worked in NYC for fifteen years as a professional dancer appearing on Broadway, in television, film and regional theater. As an accompaniment to her performing career, she worked with Judith Rice & Associates to stage and choreograph fashion shows for multiple designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan and others. Magradey completed a degree in Arts Management at City University of New York.
Upon returning to South Carolina, she worked in the public relations department at the State Museum then moved to USC to work in development and later project coordination at the Arnold School of Public Health. She joined the Koger Center in 2019. Magradey credits her success as a performing artist in New York to her years of training with the Columbia City Ballet in South Carolina, so she is delighted to support the arts in Columbia through her work at the Koger Center.
