Anja Zgodic
Biographical information:
I am originally from Bosnia-Herzegovina, and completed undergraduate studies at Providence
College in RI as well as master’s studies at Brown University, also in RI. I chose
to come to the Biostatistics Department at University of South Carolina for the flexibility
of the program (you can tailor it to your career and academic goals) and for the highly
enthusiastic faculty. They are always ready to help you and get you involved in their
research. I have previously worked as a Data Scientist and Statistician in industry.
When not working on my research or coursework, you may find me outdoors, walking my
dog, or at home playing music.
Research interests:
My research interests are in longitudinal data analysis, statistical methods for joint
modeling, Bayesian statistics, and machine learning.
Thesis/Dissertation:
While I have not started my dissertation work yet, I hope to focus on the area of
longitudinal data analysis.
