Why you chose to pursue your degree within the ASPH: I chose to pursue Exercise Science within the ASPH because I have always been fascinated by the human body and how its physiology allows us to function. When I was younger I was always the first person to help a friend or a family member who was injured no matter if it was a small cut on a hand, or a series of exercises for physical therapy. I knew and my family knew that I was destined to pursue a career in medicine years before attending USC, and now here I am!

Advice for future students: College, of course, isn't always going to be smooth sailing. You will have late nights, hours of homework in a night, or 3 exams in a week, but in the end you're pursuing this career because you love it. Don't let the little things knock you down and celebrate every accomplishment of yours, no matter how small you may believe it to be. Let loose every once in a while, school is important, but your happiness is just as important. In the end, everything will be okay and trust me, you will make it through.
